Of All The Things I've Lost...

One of the items I made for the craft fair last November were stress survival kits. Rather than make them  from scratch, which would have been labor-intensive (no Cricut here) and therefore not cost-effective, I used party favor bags from Dollar Tree--12 for $1. I had fun decorating them with with paper, ribbon, and flowers that I had on hand. The stamp that I used and cut out with the SU scalloped punch is by

(Ever had days when you felt like that? I sure have!)

Back to the project...When it came time to decide what to put inside the bags, I found a lot of suggestions on the internet when I googled "Stress Survival Kits." Keeping in mind the size of the bag, these were my final choices:

Stress Survival Kit
Contents intended to induce laughter, a tranquilizer with no side effects.
  • Rubber band--to remind you to stay flexible.
  • Candle (votive or birthday)--to remind you that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
  • Candy kiss--to remind you that someone loves you.
  • Penny--To remind you to value your thoughts and share them with others.
  • Shelf liner (cut in the shape of a heart)--to help you get a grip.
  • Eraser--to help you start with a clean slate.
  • Tootsie roll--to help you roll with the punches.
  • Cotton ball --to help soften the rough times.
Hope this makes your day
a little brighter!

Each kit contained a print-out of what you see above. I layered it on a sheet of cardstock that coordinated with the outside of the bag.

While on the internet, I bumped into these great Bridal Survival Kits
that I think would be a blast to make. It's another free downloadable printable
 for you do-it-your-selfers!
